Coming up playing HS lax in the late 90s in NJ, it was clear then that the game was very centered on the hot beds. I was originally born in Maine at the Augusta State Hospital (circa 1982), and except for Bridgeton Academy there wasn't a ton of ball being played all the way up there either. I'm still not well informed on the status of the sport in Maine but recently through Instagram I met Chris from @MainelyMesh, a Maine-based lacrosse stringing company headed by a young guy currently playing at Haverford College. Great guy, but what's even cooler is he sent me a dope t-shirt featuring both lax and my birth state! I may not have spent a long time living in Maine (birth until 2 yrs old), but my mother keeps me proud of it and getting to represent even in a small way makes the shirt special to me.
Mainely Mesh T and a cheesin' Moose - also from Maine.
Be happy, stay positive, do cool s**t,
PJ
