LONG ISLAND TOMAHAWKS
After winning the NLL championship in 1974 as the Rochester Griffins, the Griffins franchise shifted gears, and moved to the Nassau Coliseum, to become the Long Island Tomahawks, for the 1975 season.
Coached by Morley Kells, the Tomahawks finished the regular season in first place, with a record of 31-17-0. In the league semi-finals, they lost to the eventual champion, the Quebec Caribous, four games to one.
